Visiting my sister-in-law (who at the time was living in Virginia and Maryland) along with my wife and her parents we took a trip one day to Baltimore, Maryland. As fans of history and having connections to the sea and the navy (us all living in a naval port in England, after all) we hit the waterside area and took in a tour of the historical ships that were present.
The USS Torsk is a diesel-electric submarine that saw service in World War II (receiving two battle stars) and was the American naval vessel to sink the last enemy ship – a Japanese coastal defence frigate – in the conflict.
