In the early 2010s my wife's sister moved to America as part of her job, staying at the time near Reston, Virginia. She soon started dating an American who lived in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
In November, 2012 we visited them for a week, as we had done so the year before, only this time we stayed in Maryland and were accompanied by my in-laws as my wife’s sister was fairly pregnant at this time. What we weren’t accompanied by was my main camera because we’d left early in the morning to drive to the airport and I’d missed the black bag in the dark room. I’m still enraged about that to this day. As a result, photos were taken on an older camera or on the phone and, well, bah! Experiences during this trip were not as well-documented but include Washington D.C. and Baltimore visits.
