Our fourth cruise was aboard Royal Princess, a late deal to spend a week in the Mediterranean, booked on the back of a superb cruise aboard Star Princess earlier in the year… and it wasn’t quite as good as we’d hoped.
We enjoyed the destinations on this cruise – starting from Civitavecchia in Italy we hit Naples where we visited Herculaneum, then stunning Kotor in Montenegro, the Greek islands of Corfu, Crete, and Mykonos, and finally Athens with a tour of the Acropolis before departing – but the ship itself lacked some features we’d come to expect, not least of which was the level of service.
