On a Saturday in August of 2014 we headed down to Castle Road in Southsea in order to take a look at the market that had been set up for the day. With that out of the way we turned the rest of the day into an impromptu mini pub crawl on the walk back from there to where we live in the middle of the city. The route we took wasn’t one we’d normally walk and the reason for that was to hit some pubs we wouldn’t otherwise visit. The pubs were, generally, not great, and in some cases downright awful, and so I’ve not bothered to feature the insides and the drinks we had in them, instead letting this post simply serve as a set of pictures taken during the many hours it took us to meander home. Some random pictures, then, of Portsmouth on a walk from Castle Road through Guildhall Square and Commercial Road, up the bottom (ooer!) of the M275, and across into North End.
