Here you’ll find posts from visits to zoos or zoo-like establishments. Now, zoos are controversial because they’re seen by some people to be stressful environments to animals that shouldn’t really be there, and I’m sure that’s true of some zoos and probably truer in the past than it is today but zoos do important work too both to educate and assist with breeding programmes for endangered species. Not everything is black and white. Except pandas. Penguins. Zebras, of course. Many things are black and white, but zoo controversies aren’t.
