We have always picked cruises for one of two reasons: the ports, or because they have been short and easy to take without taking much if any holiday. For our first cruise with Marella Cruises we had different reasons for picking this trip. This cruise had us embarking in Naples, Italy and disembarking in Aqaba, Jordan with no stops between but it did allow us to see what we thought of a lot of sea days in a row, to experience cruising through the Suez Canal, and to visit the ancient and incredible city of Petra. We also got to see what a Marella cruise with its generally lower standard of service than we were used to and its all-inclusive nature was like.
