We were married in 2008 and ahead of this event we’d explored the options for our honeymoon. We wanted to do something big and two weeks on a beach somewhere really wasn’t our thing. Someone suggested a cruise so we looked into it, had a chat with a travel agent, and suddenly we were arranging visas and working out what currencies we needed to buy.
Our honeymoon cruise was our first cruise and involved flying out to spend three days in Beijing before boarding Diamond Princess for two weeks in and around the South China Sea. On this cruise we visited Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Japanese island of Okinawa, Singapore, Vietnam, and finished in Thailand.
