This cruise was by a long way the shortest duration cruise we’d ever taken, leaving Poole in Dorset in the evening and arriving in walking distance from our home in Portsmouth the following morning. The ship was one of the oldest cruise ships in the world, the smallest ship we’d ever cruised on, and we ended up getting a large upgrade from a basic room to a junior suite. We also got to see what a cruise arriving in our home city with the sunrise would be like.
