I was part of K Company 42 Commando who took and occupied MT, Kent. It was a high wind lashed feature sometimes cyclonic in strength. No shelter it was the worst week of my life. I get cold just hearing the name. Laying on slabs of rock for 18 hours during darkness performing a Standing Patrol. In the morning peeling yourself off the rock to leave a cartoon like shape as the snowfall/frost during the night around your body left its mark. Moving back on the hill bent over but gradually stretching out as you got some warmth back through physical effort.

Your pictures are amazing and I appreciate your sharing them! I want to see Mendenhall Glacier again in July 2026, having seen it in May 2010 and 2013. I do want to do the Trail of Time on this trip and may consider the whale watch part as well.
