People joining Mastodon may not notice the time variations immediately but they’re there because while Mastodon is global some instances like Mastodon.NZ will be on different awake times. For example #JukeboxFridayNight is a weekly music sharing using video links on a theme (please add song and artist/s name to post for blind and low vision followers). It kicks off in New Zealand time on Friday evening, about 5pm NZDT. That’s still Thursday in some parts of the world. Anyone can join in but people joining in later may find obvious choices have already been shared. It’s a great opportunity to be creative with the theme, like sharing songs about factories during the #Plants themed JFN.
