The former incarnation of this site had a
Picture Of The Day feature that was used to promote worthy photography on an almost daily basis. This feature has now been superceded by the plugs system in each of the site sections but an archive of prior receivers of this very nearly almost prestigious award are shown here.

Calming photo of the sun struggling behind the fog.
There's something very relaxing about this picture; maybe the fact that you can tell it's a cold morning and you feel like being wrapped up warm to see it. Like the colours and the composition.
