Sure, they assimilate everything in sight when they're out cruising the transwarp corridors but get them out of their uniforms and you'll find the Borg are just like you and me.

We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futi -- wait, is that a jello mold with hot dog wieners in it?

We are the Borg. We will return later.

Grazor: Perhaps Seventy of Ninety.

Ettarose: Thank you. And you're in my daily RSS feed too.

Claire: For the mumborg? For the mumborg? I thought #2 was the mumborg.

Alternate Me: I'm thinking that a version of Mad Men set on the Borg homeworld, picked up by SyFy (sigh, figh), has got Emmy written all over it.

Oh yes - I remember you titrating ale-fluid through your nano-proboscis on the USS Northcote to mark 30 solar circumnavigations since your inception...

Didn't do much assimilation that night, did you?
