"Maurice Mentjens primarily designs interiors and related objects and furnishings. Creations are almost exclusively for the project sector: shops, hotels and restaurants, offices and museums. Intriguing, smaller scale projects are preferred to larger projects." - Mark H

"If you think tractors aren’t exciting, you’ve spent too much time on a collective farm and not enough on the showroom floor. These 10 cool & futuristic concept tractors may not break any speed records but when it comes to bringing the original “mechanical plow horse” up to speed, let’s just say they’re outstanding in their field!" - Mark H
I like the 1947 concept with the shifty eyes. I don't trust them farmers. - Eivind

I know two women who plan on getting those Mojito shoes (left picture) as soon as they're available; one of them is my missus. - Mark H

"The "everyone should learn to code" movement isn't just wrong because it falsely equates coding with essential life skills like reading, writing, and math. I wish. It is wrong in so many other ways. [...] It assumes that coding is the goal. Software developers tend to be software addicts who think their job is to write code. But it's not. Their job is to solve problems. Don't celebrate the creation of code, celebrate the creation of solutions. We have way too many coders addicted to doing just one more line of code already." - Mark H

promises not to learn how to code -> - Derrick
Interesting that the author uses those quotes, but doesn't appear to reference Mike Rowe's testimony before congress (where he basically spent 5 minutes talking about the fact that we're all focusing too much on high-level training instead of focusing on skilled trades - like plumbing). - Fried Curdys

"Sweet, sweet Lord. This cannot be what I think it is (rubbing eyes) - a piece of bread with an inch thick layer of yellow-orange "cheese" spread. There's only a two scenarios where eating this is acceptable: (1) You are on Fear Factor and may win lots of money by eating it, or (2) You are in the midst of a zombie holocaust.... because, at that point, f**k it." - Mark H

I particularly like the page of on-field signals promoted by Philip Morris. "Definitely superior for your nose and throat! Complete enjoyment - unmarred by throat irritation." - Mark H

"In Star Trek lore, the first Starship Enterprise will be built by the year 2245. But today, an engineer has proposed — and outlined in meticulous detail – building a full-sized, ion-powered version of the Enterprise complete with 1G of gravity on board, and says it could be done with current technology, within 20 years." - Mark H
"Complete with conceptual designs, ship specs, a funding schedule, and almost every other imaginable detail, the BTE website was launched just this week and covers almost every aspect of how the project could be done. This Enterprise would be built entirely in space, have a rotating gravity section inside of the saucer, and be similar in size with the same look as the USS Enterprise that we know from Star Trek." - Mark H
sign me up. :D - Big Bag of Joe Silence
