Anyhoo ... can you identify the scientists and the movies in which the scientists have been cleverly (I'm taking a course in blowing my own trumpet) placed?

Well I've no idea what the first film is but I know the rest. As for the scientists I can safely say that there is exactly one that I know. Clearly this makes me smarter than most people who would probably visit this page so I've decided not to rub their noses in it and keep my answers to myself. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I recognize Dawkins and Sagan and I know that scientist with the borg but can't remember who it is. I'm not so hot on the films except for the last one which is obvious and absolutely terrifying. The photoshop not the film. ;D

That's news to me. Every time I've checked in the site's seemed fine. Stats show no significant drop-off either.

Without the lab coat, I find it impossible to spot scientists. Dorothy freaked me out.
