Rock, Paper, Scissors

People often ask me: "Mark, how did you get to be so good at Rock, Paper, Scissors and what's your secret to being picked to represent the United Kingdom year after year?"

Well, the key word – especially for all you kids looking to take up the sport – is dedication. I'm dedicated to cheating by any means possible. Take today, for instance, when I spot (okay: invited to Chichester under false pretences) my first round rival at this Summer's games, Bulgarian champion Stefan Getemov walking past nonchalantly: a simple light tinkling of a bell – the same sort of bell used to start all tournament competitions – was all it took for Stefan's reflexes to kick in and for him to give away his opening response.

Oh, Stefan, paper is going to beat rock, I'm afraid.
