Doodle Week II - Doodle Vacation

17 Jul 2008 07:52 by Mark

It's day four of what some people are already calling "the second Doodle Week EVER!", Doodle Week II.

Today's theme is Doodle Vacation.

Doodle Vacation

The traditional British holiday is the beach holiday. Sharp pebbles, sharp discarded coke cans, sharp dog crap, sharp-billed seagulls, sharp wind, sharp seaweed, sharp sand in the wafer-thin, runny margarine sandwiches, sharp warm orange juice from the Thermos, finished off with a sharp intake of breath at the end of the day when someone touches your blistering skin. Ah, the memories are still sharp.

It's memories like that which remind you that all the hassles of getting to the seashore -- the traffic, the packing of the car, the anguish of forgetting something important, like the sunblock -- those memories make it all worthwhile.

Enjoyed the doodle and the words...

Beach is one of my favorite vacation places. It looks like you have some seriously sharp memories from the beach though :o)

Ah, I can almost feel the sea lapping against my feet.

Either your picture is powerfully provocative, or I've soiled myself.

That's why I do lake vacations! Great chair! I have no perspective whatsoever!

That picture is fan-fucking-tastic! Oh, and I love the phrase 'second Doodle week EVER'. It is so true, isn't it? But yet it still conveys the passion behind it. I think the CAPS and ! help. :P

You only forgot the sharp taste of the ocean when it gets in your mouth. Assuming you get into the water. I mean, you are at the beach after all.

Thanks all.

Ivanhoe: I'm less a beach person and more a places of interest person. Must have castles or museums or excitement.

Lord Likely: Or botter is doing a spot of Lordly cleaning.

Laura: The water around Britain remains at a brisk 207 degrees below freezing all year round and is not to be entered! Ever.

Now that looks delightfully restful. It is also a doodle worthy of a frame. Nice job.

The second doodle week ever! I laughed so hard I snorted at that one.

Your chair looks comfy.
