Doodle Week II - Doodle Bug

14 Jul 2008 10:18 by Mark

It's Doodle Week II: Electric Boogaloo(*), that special time of the year when website owners once again don't have to think of anything original to put on their site and can instead let others come up with the ideas for them and then inflict their artistically-deficient creations upon an unsuspecting world.

Today's theme is Doodle Bug.

Doodle Bug

(*) Or should that be Electric Bugaloo(**) instead?

(**) No. No it shouldn't.

OK, that's a serious Doodlebug, dude! Did you use colored pencils? It's doesn't look computer generated. Either way, way cool!

They are coloured pencils, yes. I'm not sure why I have coloured pencils in the house but for some reason I do. I certainly don't remember buying them and can't come up with a reason why I'd have ever bought them. No kids, no colouring books that needed filling in at some point. Very odd.

I think the best thing about being a bug would be having, like, a THOUSAND eyes. I only have two.

You entry is not artistically deficient in the least. He looks like he could be in an animated film.

Colored pencils are excellent! I'm totally in love with my markers right now, but I went through an extensive phase of colored penciling. :)

That's one bug I wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley!

It reminds me of that big one in Alien...so, get away from me you...witch. I cleaned it up...lol. Happy doodle week. Good job on the bug.

Do you have any Crayolas in your house too, Mark? Do you? DO YOU?

Lovely bug, mind. Top drawer!

Think of something original? Who does that any more. I like your bug, great lips.

I love his undulating arms. I imagine him doing 'the snake' with those arms and clicking his little talons simultaneously.

You just happened to find coloured pencils laying around? Have you checked in cupboards for the presence of children and/or midgets?

Excellent doodlage :)

I can just hear the strains of "Saturday Night Fever" in the background... does he have a little white polyester suit somewhere in his closet, and a buggy disco mirror ball? The bug's a party animal!
