Dog Tired
What separates us from the animals? Many things, of course, and one of the things that separates me from animals – and in particular, this dog – is that I wouldn't lie down on the flagstones in the shopping precinct for a rest. Unless I was really quite drunk. Come to think of it, the dog might have been drunk. Perhaps we're not that dissimilar after all.

I don't know. Sometimes I've been tired enough (while sober) to sleep just about anywhere. How do you account for the people who sleep on train tracks? Never mind…those people are often drunk.
Your behaviour in not lying down around outdoor tables is no less a product of conditioning than the dog's lying down.

Dog looks bored. I lie on flagstones when I'm bored. It amuses me.
